Friday, April 27th, 2007

Aggarwal sweets is a very well known food outlet, although many shops are known by this name, there are a few of the originals which are the best places. The food they serve is purely vegetarian and hygienic, which you don’t really find in many places. The service is excellent and the food is absolutely delicious. What more could you want from a food place.

Cooking food on road sides

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Supreme court says yes to food being cooked on street and road sides :( unlike bombay, Newdelhi will continue to see food being cooked on road sides and sold to people. One good thing is that food will be affordable for daily wagers who earn very small amounts of money and cannot afford to go to resturants.I hope the economic boom makes those poor people able enough to afford more hygenic food and Delhi government in future bans food from being cooked on road sides and open shops which makes thousands of people ill across the nation and costs millions for treatment and that is paid by the taxpayer :(

Dosa and Idli

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I had dosa and idli from this hawker who comes to our street for the first time and to my surprise it was the best dosa and idli sambar I have ever had. I think it was so good because it was prepared in authentic south Indian way as they make it in homes with orignal ingredients. The cost was down to earth as well with dosa costing just Rs15 and idli with two pieces and sambhar and narial chutney costing just Rs8 per plate :)

Executive search

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I know this is a mainly food and drinks blog but today I would like to share with you some information about this recruitment agency called A.E. Feldman Associates, Inc who have been in business since 1967 and this I am writing due to a request from a friend of mine who is so impressed with the quality of service they provide that he requested me to write a blog post about them as he thinks they are the best recruitment agency ever given the fact that they have been in business since 1967 and that is more then 40 years of service to thier clients and candidates. There has to be a number of good reasons for this company to survive the ups and downs in the job market for the last 40 years and one of the major factors is that they go that extra mile in for executive search they are doing and they wouldnt just offer some one a job interview just because there is a vacency but they would keep looking until they find you a perfect fit and are sure that you are the best candidate for that particular job position and this is what good quality service is all about and is lacked by thier competetors.

Hayfield Dental Care

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I moved to Alexandria a short while ago and because I was new to the area I didn’t know much about where anything was. My neighbours were very friendly and helpful and often told me the best places to purchases products from. But one thing they specified on was that when I needed to visit the doctors or dentist I would ask them first. It came the time when I had to visit the dentist, so I went to my neighbour’s house and told them that I needed to go to a dentist. She gave me the name of a dental centre Hayfield Dental Care, so I didn’t go anywhere else and went straight there.

Khichri

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Khichri is something which is made up of lentils and rice. This is probably the easiest dish in Indian food and it is something which every body loves and can eat any time of the day. The way to make this is simply mix one cup of red lentils and one cup of rice, add 3 teaspoons of salt and simply boil until cooked. The water should be double as the amount of lentils and rice added. Once cooked this can be eaten with plain yogurt or on its own.

Indian Style Tea

When making Indian style tea it is very simple and easy, and there are many different ways and types you can make.

Rather than using a kettle you use a saucepan and put the amount of water required.

In this you put tea bags or loose tea with sugar, then you can add any one of these ingredients:

Cardamom, Cloves, Kennals, Ginger

Let the water boil and then add milk. Make sure you let the tea boil for at least 5 minutes. And serve hot

Eating Out in India

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Although eating out in Delhi maybe a good idea, there are also many risk factors to take in mind. Eating out at posh and expensive joints are excluded from this, but its not a everyday thing to eat there and sometimes people tend to go to normal restaurants. The amount of flavour enhancers they use and oil can make you feel ill, you should avoid eating chicken or meat as you don’t know if it is clean and where it has come from.
