A lot of people know that salt is one of the oldest preservatives, and in the past this was very rare. It was so rare that it was used a pay. In the olden days people used to get tablespoons of salt for their hard work. And today there is so much salt, that a lot for foods have too much in it, and restaurants tend to just give it away free with heir foods.
